You are entitled to see any data held on you either in writing or held electronically. To ensure it is correct. This access is granted, with certain exclusions, under the Data Protection Act 1998. This in turn is regulated by the Information Commissioners Office that is a government department.

This included information on your employment, your health and information held by other organisations.  Some organisations may levy a charge for providing you with such information.  Though your employer or GP will not normally charge you for having this information.
