Over the weekend I heard of another successful decision. Though this did go all the way through to the person having to complete a DLA556.
Whereas it is still difficult to gauge the fuller picture with so many still in the process. I would like to think that the work done by the team here & those in the background is making a positive difference.
Please let us know how you are getting on. It helps to build the bigger picture.
Remember everyones case is different. A decision that on person gets depends on their personal situation and may not necessarily apply in your case.

At last, the "Brown envelop"
At last, the "Brown envelop" as arrived for me as well...after months of anxiety and stress. After having to go all the way to fill a DLA556 on which the DWP based their decision, they now have changed the amount, althought by not much. They lowered my care component to middle rate and kept mobility at the highest...I suppose this is much better than I expected and don't think i will challenge the decision...The letter does not mention for how long the benefits will be paid thought, and i think that means i can expect this all excercise to repeat again sometimes in the future...And i don't known if it means i am protected regarding an eventual interview about incapacity benefits...I wish to all who are still waiting for their decisions good luck and strength and want to thank John again for leading up the fight and for doing so much to defend our rights. I believe what you have done really wentt some way towards influencing some of the decisions being made at the moment regarding DLA and HIV. I will keep checking here all the time. All the best.
